Responsible party

What we collect

• Identity (name, ID number, FICA documents) where required by law
• Contact details (email, phone, WhatsApp)
• Property preferences and viewing history
• Financial information necessary for bond and transfer
• Communication records (call recordings with consent, email, WhatsApp)

Lawful basis

We process personal information on the basis of (i) your consent, (ii) contractual necessity, (iii) compliance with a legal obligation (FICA, Property Practitioners Act), or (iv) our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.

Your rights

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal information we hold
• Right to correction — request that we update inaccurate data
• Right to deletion — request erasure, subject to retention obligations
• Right to object — to direct marketing at any time
• Right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

Retention

We retain transaction records for at least five years from completion in line with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act. Other data is retained only as long as is necessary for the purpose collected.

Cross-border transfers

Some service providers (e.g. cloud infrastructure) may process data outside South Africa. We ensure equivalent levels of protection through contractual safeguards.
